Umbria, and Why You Should Be Drinking More of Its Wines
Tuscany is evocative. Piedmont's bucolic. But Umbria--well, for most people this region to the southeast of Tuscany remains less familiar than it should be. Which is unfortunate, because the wines are among the most food-friendly and interesting on the boot. Click over to this week's Good Life Report for my review of a remarkable 2005 from one of my favorite Umbrian producers, Arnaldo Caprai. If you're planning on firing up the grill this warm weekend, consider this mature, earth-tinged beauty.
